A Legacy of Service: The Mandell Family’s Deep Roots in Northville

In 1969, Dr. Robert Mandell and his wife Joan made Northville their home after his service in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. Their move marked the beginning of a lasting family legacy built on service, compassion, and community involvement. Together with their children, Kim and Mark, they helped shape the fabric of Northville life for generations to come.

Kim joined Northville’s first girls’ soccer team in 1975, breaking new ground for young athletes in the community. Meanwhile, Dr. Mandell served as team doctor for the Northville High School football team throughout the 1970s—often with young Mark by his side—and later as President of the Northville School Board, demonstrating his deep commitment to education and youth development.

Decades later, Mark Mandell and his wife followed that same path of community leadership. They raised their own family in Northville, and Mark gave back as a longtime football coach for the Northville Mustangs, mentoring student-athletes for over 20 years while building a respected career in law.

Today, Attorney Mark Mandell is recognized as one of Metro Detroit’s premier criminal defense and family law attorneys. A former prosecutor with extensive experience in both civil and criminal litigation, Mark is known for his results, professionalism, and compassion. His work has been featured by Fox News, CNN, WXYZ Channel 7, WDIV Channel 4, The Detroit News, Detroit Free Press, The Washington Post, and The Wall Street Journal.

What sets Mark apart isn’t just his legal knowledge—it’s his ability to connect with clients, inspire growth, and guide people through their most challenging moments. Whether it’s defending against criminal charges, assisting in family law matters, or helping clients rebuild their futures, Mark’s approach reflects the empathy and integrity that have defined his family for decades.

For more than fifty years, the Mandell family has proudly called Northville home. Their legacy is one of service—to their neighbors, their community, and to the people of Michigan.
